RACE REPORT ROUND 1
Race Report:
Anthony Roach Memorial Race February 13th, 2010
Thank you everyone for a terrific day of racing for my inaugural day as Race Secretary. The Committee, as well as the families of competitors, need to be acknowledged for the great effort they put in to make it a successful race day.
It was pleasant weather for racing and we only had a few racing mishaps. Congratulations to all the new members attending their first race meeting - some of which managed a position on the podium.
We have started to regrade some of our riders and will continue next round. Well done those of you who have been moved up a grade.
Please remember that clearly numbered back plates are a necessity on race day. If bike numbers are obscured it is impossible for the lap scorers to accurately keep track of race positions.
Thank you to Sonia, Lorraine, Rebecca for lap scoring and Susie Brewster for being my right hand “woman”. Especially, I would like to thank Michelle Batson for being my mentor and always making herself available to help me while I learn the intricacies of my new role.
A really big thank you to Jason Batson from all the girls in the lap scoring box for our lovely new café curtains. We are now safe from flying rocks, dust and “rampant” riders.
Look out for the new entry form on the download page. You will have an option to enter for a full series. We will also have these entry forms and envelopes at the track. You may pay for the whole series or you have the option of paying on the Sunday prior to race day or paying on the day ($5 late payment applies). If you are paying at the track, please put your money in a sealed envelope addressed to the Race Secretary with your name and bike number on the back.

Race Secretary.
